The Index Naturae book includes 116 photographic books published in the past five years that relate to the theme of nature, collected and displayed on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name presented at OMNEFEST 2023. Excluding a priori the geographical boundary, the research proposes experiences on the theme related to five continents that find specific reference in the origin of the author involved or the place of investigation. This volume is configured as a kind of encyclopedic book, a \u201cbook of books\u201d in which each entry, i.e., each book, is offered as a tool capable of suggesting different trajectories of interpretation of Nature, its constituent elements and man’s relationship with them today. Index Naturae proposes an articulated system of unexpected relationships that-as Gianfranco Baruchello states-simulates the complexity of the mind’s associative processes. In this sense, if the photo-of-photo on the one hand generates a loss of quality, on the other hand it enhances the conceptual potential of the images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
