In 2019 Guido Guidi and Gerry Johansson took part to the \u201cVerso Nord\u201d photographic campaign, organized as part of the project P=S+N by OMNE, to investigate Castelfranco Veneto and its territory. While the attention of Guidi turns to the historic center of the Venetian town insisting on the matter of architecture to collect the sediment of time through detail, Johansson moves in the territory of the “sprawl” ascertaining photographically the cultural imaginary of the Italian Northeast in which architecture and nature, buildings and living space become unique witnesses of a random landscape, with uncertain and enigmatic features.
If in the shift of the point of view – obtained through a large-format camera 8×10″ – Guidi identifies a tool to verify reality by asking new questions about photography and the codes that belong to it, Johansson seems to draw from the places encountered the substance for a photograph – in the traditional tones of black and white – oriented to recompose the fragments of a collective imagination made of micro landscapes, ambiguously suspended between alienation and objectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
