GUIDO GUIDI. IN VENETO 1984–89

The book “Guido Guidi. In Veneto, 1984-89” was published on the occasion of the exhibition organized as part of the landscape festival P=S+N in Castelfranco Veneto in 2019. The publication presents a series of unpublished photographs taken in the central Veneto, an area that has generated, in a few decades, a landscape deeply uncertain and marginal, intimately devoid of hierarchies. The images testify to the modifications of a vast rural region defined as a “widespread city”. Moving in random order, Guidi has explored with the faithful Deardorff 8×10″ territories that over time have become places of affection. His photographs then report a certain insistence of the gaze linked to a slow and customary process, a certain way of facing reality.
