InsiemeMARK STEINMETZIn 2021 Mark Steinmetz, together with Irina Rozovsky, was invited to Italy for a photographic campaign staying in Veneto and Puglia, in the cities of Castelfranco Veneto and Lecce. The INSIEME project interprets the narrative of an Italian photographic experience composed in the form of an intimate and personal diary by Steinmetz and Rozovsky, who, making use of a double gaze, approach each other and succeed each other, alternating and alternating according to a discontinuous and fluctuating rhythm, just like the episodes of life. Ready to capture sudden happenings and singular encounters, but especially those moments of a daily life lived together, the images express a special familiarity with the places encountered by conveying a natural character of authenticity. “No one can really distinguish fantasy from reality,” wrote Gianni Celati, ”together they are a difficult thing to understand, but they are one. Project realized as part of the photographic campaign “Nature” organized first in Castelfranco Veneto and then in Lecce, in collaboration with Transitions, during September 3-24, 2021, published in the volume Insieme (Chose Commune, Marseille 2023) and exhibited during OMNEFEST 2023 (Museo Casa Giorgione, September 22-October 29)
