Parco BelloluogoCLAUDIO MAJORANALocated in the first expansion to the west of the city of Lecce, Belloluogo Park represents an extensive area of public green space that derives its name from the medieval tower of the same name, the historic residence of Queen Maria D’Enghien. In this place Claudio Majorana decided to focus his work for the artist residency dedicated to the exploration of the theme NATURE, which involved the city of Lecce and its territory. Measuring himself against a dimension of anthropized nature, Majorana seeks in the gazes of an uncertain age the possibilities of a “nature” not yet domesticated. “This is the place where young adolescents meet after school, a place where their friendships are strengthened, their first loves are born and where memories will inevitably remain. Like Chiara and Enrico, photographed sheltering under a tree on a rainy day after their last ‘first day of school’.” (C.M.)
