From VenetoGERRY JOHANSSONInvited in 2019 to investigate Castelfranco Veneto and its territory, Gerry Johansson moved into the landscape of the “sprawl” by photographically ascertaining the cultural imaginary of the Italian Northeast in which architecture and nature, buildings and living space, become unique witnesses of a random landscape, with uncertain and enigmatic features. Johansson seems to have drawn from the places he met the substance for a photography oriented to recompose the fragments of a collective imagination made of micro landscapes, ambiguously suspended between estrangement and objectivity. Project realized in October 2019 as part of the photographic campaign “Verso Nord”, exhibited during OMNEFEST 2021 (Spazio HEA, Castelfranco Veneto, 4th September – 1st November) and published in the book “Guido Guidi, Gerry Johansson, Verso Nord” (Hartmann books, Stuttgart 2021)
